Time In Nature
Helping people to better understand nature, to learn how to enjoy it responsibly and to protect it for future generations.
Following his professional sailing career and four years working as a discretionary fund manager, Nick Bubb moved across to the non-profit world and now has over 10 years of philanthropy experience. This includes raising millions of pounds for charities across a broad range of projects and needs, along with advising, supporting and facilitating charitable donations and legacy management on behalf of private donors and family offices. Nick also holds several trustee positions.
Nick Bubb has represented Fauna & Flora International (FFI) since 2012. In his role heading up business development, he's helped to grow FFI's programme, promoted the importance and visibility of their work -protecting many of the world’s most critically endangered species and habitats- and generated support at all levels from governments, to corporations, foundations, national lotteries, family offices and private individuals. During the 2019 General Election, Nick was the Green Party candidate for New Forest West.
From racing a 100ft maxi-catamaran around the world non-stop in 2005, to sailing a 21ft ‘ocean skiff’ -that he built himself- solo across the Atlantic just a few months later, Nick Bubb is no stranger to adventure! His long and diverse sailing CV also includes the Volvo Ocean Race and skippering a successful Shackleton re-enactment in Antarctica. More recently, he’s led numerous expeditions across Africa and Central America, whilst racing mountain bikes in ultra-distance races during his free time.
